Welcome to those who will dare to think the unthinkable, the awakened warriors, and you evolutionary scouts. You are in good company. I want to thank all the “players” in our network of scouts for their work then and now as we continue into a new century striving to bring this world of ours into the vibrance it deserves. I encourage you others of similar mind to read the manual and accept the far-reaching challenges that fit for you. WE are all at the shift point ….make your move!--Jim Channon

EARTH BATTALION RESEARCH PROJECT / SCENARIOS

EARTH BATTALION RESEARCH PROJECTS
Engaging the new world of Natural Security

The number one threat for the human habitat will soon become the destruction wrought by an neglected biosphere. The nature-based threats that arise from this neglect will be weapons of mass extinction. Examine with me the proactive projects to created by the Earth Battalion think-tank to engage the biosphere fully in a future.

THE BIOREGIONS In the end we must align political and natural forces so that people can efficiently manage the development of each contiguous natural bioregion not boundaries created by plunder and political fiat. The armed forces can help by setting up the planning headquarters and bioregional management centers to begin the serious recovery of earth assets.

OPERATION DESERT SEAS The rising of the oceans can be a real blessing if we channel the extra water into the dry zones that are near oceans and ideally lower than the oceans in elevation. These dry area need computer mapping to identify the opportunities as well as the threats. The Quattara depression in North Africa is a perfect example of a dead zone 400 feet lower than the Meditaranean just forty kilometers North of it. The army and some large engineering firms have been alerted to this opportunity but these Desert Sea projects need more public awareness. For high tech canal digging … modern strip mining assets need to be evaluated along with radiation free bunker busting bombs and other new tools..

OPERATION GLOBAL RESCUE We have activated the SW Oklahoma bioregion (Lawton/Fort Sill) to a future whereby they mass globally important instant villages
and launch them within hours via five air force transport bases nearby. We need to match global hotspots where natural shortages or pollution could occur with pre-designed support packages ( tent cities, water purification systems, solar electric support, dispensary tents with solar refrigeration for vaccines, etc.) The Army/ Air force has been cued to this need but are hard pressed do the research needed to match needs and support items packages … they are over-worked as it is given the Iraq war.

OPERATION STRATEGIC MICRO-FORCES The eco-cavalry has been designed to be the delivery force for emergency support packages in small outlying areas. They trained in civil affairs and soft-entry techniques to insure indigenous acceptance. They also support combat of the collective conscious operations.

OPERATION COMBAT OF THE COLLECTIVE CONSCIENCE Here special teams and soft entry combinations are used to prevent conflict and sooth global publics with peaceful interventions, eco-solutions, and resonant energy fields (like those promulgated by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi) More applicable data needs to be synthesized to reveal precise operational situations and the coalescing of media assets to see that the public conscience can weigh in early before a conflict occurs.

OPERATION NOBLE STEWARD This is the capacity of the combined military forces of the planet to launch bio-rescue operations globally using our publicly financed military resources. The Army is deemed best to reforest and repair watersheds (research on priority locations is needed) The Marines would repair coral reefs and wetlands areas (priorities needed here as well). The Air Force would monitor global atmospheric and ground based toxicity and launch rescue operations with large transport (priorities needed). The Navy would patrol overfishing and supervise fish hatchery operations in the newly created desert seas (fish types and systems need research). We need to get data on which fish can be relocated to the new desert sea zones. Once these needs are prioritized then actual capacity figures need to be generated to reveal what resources need to be marshaled against what threats.

OPERATION AQUA SENTINAL Global fresh water needs are presently emerging as the surprise threat of the next decade. There is a natural shift value in calculating the tonnage and support provided by oil tankers that of course can carry water as well as oil so that the more valued liquid water can become the new province of former oil enterprises. Off shore drilling platforms are also able to mount large wind generators and that potential needs data support. We have a concept for military conversion but this is commercial conversion.

OPERATION PACIFIC SHIFT The Micronesian cultures now being supplanted by rising waters need to be relocated to new global sites. The relocation could be married up with the new villages needed to support inland fish farming in the new desert seas.
We need to prioritize the groups and sites needed.

OPERATION PRISTINE BIOSPHERE Our living and breathing home is the biosphere not the mantel of the earth as we presently see it …so research needs to occur to image the state of the biosphere and then use Sensonet (Oakridge national laboratory and Fort Bragg) to connect local toxicity sensors with weather data and reports so we can see the emerging plight of a multi-factoral toxic atmosphere. The air force would be the best ally. They could police toxic polluters with airborne reports and public imagery to produce pressure on the violations observed.

WE DON’T RECOGNIZE THAT THE EARTH WE WANT TO SAVE IS ACTUALLY OUR BIOSPHERE. THAT IS THE ENVELOPE THAT LIFE EXISTS WITHIN. IT MAY BE AS BIG A PARADIGM SHIFT AS LEARNING THAT THE EARTH WAS ROUND.

SPEAKER CONSULTANT

Jim allows only three annual excursions from Hawaii to speak or counsel with leaders. The normal way to secure his advice is by webcam. A lesser quality exchange is by telephone for radio purposes. Using his illustration skills and arsenal of graphic maps he is best in his studio with access to white boards where he illustrates live or pulls out prepared charts and streams the video live.

An alternative is to e-mail jim questions which he can answer on HDTV and mail a DVD back for editing with the interviewer. The preferred magazine interviews occur with jim on his model eco-homestead so an authentic context is available for reference. All rates are consistent with professional industry standards.

Fee schedule available on request. Soon jim’s videos will run live in second life the virtual world. A very knowledgeable professional writer and photographer both have materials that can be tailored for articles. Contact Susanne Sims at susannesims@gmail.com.
