C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S

hey! All you Battalion members and allies! Take a bow! I just acknowledged a tribute that will be scrolled at the end of the George Clooney film MEN WHO STARE AT GOATS. The executive team at Overture Productions (Paul, Jim, and Adam) just cleared with me the following statement":

"Thank you to Jim Channon Cmdr First Earth Battalion and the military mavericks of the FirstEarthBattalion.org who to this day help keep our hardworking militaries focused on creative service to our planet."

Now ...... take another bow! That is our work. Tell your friends ...have a little premiere party where ever you are. The movie will be released in the US in November...see local listings for time and place. The early screenings will happen in mid september in Toronto and Venice. You know the drill ... celebrate.

This is a premiere moment because the movie runs a very edgy line with its humor. It must in this case be seen as a bit of a ROAST, because its very hard to create a lot of great humor without making fun of people. Lord we have lived with Beetle Bailey, Ernie Bilko, Gomer Pile, the MASH wacko's ...its a no wonder the public has not learned much about anything military but boot camp in the last fifty years. Some recent exceptions are the UNIT, ONCE WERE WARRIORS, AND THE HUMAN SIDE OF TRANSFORMERS II. (The defense industry side was a bit over the top. But, there are alot of serious toolmakers who deserve their due. They also connected the planet with all their machines and communications technology. They can do the same for the environment if we let them know we care.

Notice the implied meanings in the tribute phrase.

1. Unorthodox people lead change ( and have the arrows in their backs to prove it)
2. The change is creative and must be and that takes courage in a large institution.
3. The change involves all the militaries working as a team.
4. The results are directed toward the planet as a whole.
5. Real men don't make fun of people they don't respect (Notice the cast)
6. Big companies like Overture productions are in this future with us.

Amazing all that in a credit roll.

Just remember our present task is to make the paranormal a very real part of the sensitivity our soldiers must take into battle ...it saves lives all around. AND also
we want the soldiers of the world to show us the second Marshall Plan and repair our biosphere if it takes ten years. They are the linch pin. No one else can get off the dime with as much heart and skill and teamwork.
